Lindsay Lohan claims father threatened to kill mother

It’s no secret Michael Lohan likes to speak publically about his family, so it should have been no surprise that he has leaked tapes containing messages left on his phone by Lindsay.

Earlier this week, Lohan released the distraught voicemail messages where Lindsay is heard crying hysterically. “No one cares about me…It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it,” she says.

Even as embarrassing as it must be for Lindsay to have some of her most raw moments exposed to the public, Lohan doesn’t see it that way. According to him, he revealed them to “protect her”.

"I want my daughter off prescription medication. She never needed it in her life... I'm not going to watch my daughter die. Hate me now, but you’ll love me more later because I'm gonna turn her life around."

And how did Lindsay react? By embarrassing her father the same way he embarrassed her. Along with using her Twitter account to bash her father -- "He's a deadbeat dad. He's disgusting to do this…he needs help." -- she’s also seeking a restraining order against him, claiming he threatened to kill her mother.

"She blames herself for staying w/him for so long," she says. But, she begged her mother not to leave, claiming "he always threatened to kill her if she did."

And, of course, Michael is not taking any of it lying down.

“I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that,” he says. “Now I’m going to release more recordings that prove everything she is saying is nothing more than a bunch of lies. No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her. Because she’s forsaken everything He’s given her and she’s done nothing but misuse all the gifts she’s given.”
