Utah ski swaps have lots of gear to outfit skiers and snowboarders

Ski swaps are a great way to buy all the ski and snowboard gear you need for the winter season while saving money at the same time. There are usually thousands of new and used skis, boots and poles to choose from, and money earned at most swaps go to benefit a charity organization.

A few ski swaps have already taken place, such as a big one at Snowbird, but if you missed it, there are still a few coming up where you can go and find the perfect pair of skis at a huge discount. Below is a list of the remaining ski swaps with times, dates and locations.

Sports Den
Oct. 11-12 from 9:a.m. to 9 p.m.
October 13 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
keep 100 percent of the profit if redeemed for Sports Den merchandise or keep the cash and pay 25% to Sports Den.
No admission
Location: 1350 Foothill Dr., Salt Lake City

Black Diamond Swap
Oct. 20 8am-noon
No commission on sold goods
No entry fee
Location: Black Diamond store parking lot

Rowmark Ski Swap
Oct. 26 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
October 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
25% commission and $1 entry fee per item
Admission: Friday $5 per person and Saturday $3 per person (Children under 12 free)
Location: Rowmark Hall School

Park City Snowboard Team Swap
Fri Oct. 26th Early Bird Pre-Sale 10pm-1am;
Sat Oct 27th 8am- 8pm;
15% donation on all sold items to the Park City Snowboard Team
$3 entrance / 6 and under FREE
Location: Park City Mountain Resort, First Time Lower Parking Lot

St. Lawrence Thrift Stores Annual Ski Sale
Nov. 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Drop your donations off at the old St. Mary's Church 121 Park Avenue, Park City No fees, free admission.
Location: Park and Rec Building, 90 N. 100 W., Heber, UT

Park City Ski Team Swap
Nov.2 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Nov.3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Nov.4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
ski team keeps 30% of the profit.
Admission is $8 on Friday, $5 on Saturday and $2 on Sunday. Children under 12 are free
Location: Basin Recreation Fieldhouse in Kimball Junction

Friends of the Utah Avalanche Center Ski Swap
Nov 3 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.,
with gear drop off Nov. 1st and 2nd from 5-8 p.m. Cost to enter gear is $2, plus 20% if sold
Admission: $5/person, $10/family
Location: REI on 3300 S. and 3000 E.
