Guests seeking a gay spa-cation in Palm Springs can indulge at two spa resorts – La Dolce Vita Resort and Spa and East Canyon Hotel and Spa. Experience a massage in a cabana, relax with a facial, or unwind with a couples massage. Both spa properties are open to the public by appointment only, and are fully licensed and certified by the State of California .
In April, La Dolce Vita Resort (www.ladolcevitaresort.com) opened its Spa featuring facials, massages, body treatments and waxing by a licensed male therapist. The facilities include treatment rooms, reception/changing room, whirlpools, steam room, and outdoor weight room. Signature spa treatments include a “Pumpkin Facial,” “Romeo and Romeo,” a couples massage and the “Sweet Life Massage,” a full body massage using a combination of three techniques, Swedish, deep tissue and pressure points. In addition, the resort has launched a new line of skin products, Dolce designed specifically for Men.
The East Canyon Hotel and Spa (www.eastcanyonps.com) was the first gay spa resort in Palm Springs and in the United States . This intimate, luxury resort features several signature spa treatments including heated stone massages, a desert red clay wrap and a dual therapist massage session. There are also several all-inclusive packages to choose from, as well as spa/accommodation packages. East Canyon Hotel and Spa uses non-allergenic, fragrance free products
In addition to the spa resorts, Desert Eclipse Resort (www.deserteclipseresort.com) has opened Eclipse Hair Studio, a salon that offers a variety of beauty services of hair cutting, styling and makeup services.
