The Galactic Gathering: A Conference on Extraterrestrial Civilizations began in Denver today by honoring the late Maurice L. Albertson, Ph.D., a “co-founder” of the Peace Corps. Maury, as he liked to be called, was co-founder and president of The Institute for the Study of Galactic Civilizations (ISGC) which is sponsoring the conference. It was the last organization co-founded by Dr. Albertson who passed away on January 11 of this year.
Albertson was also former director of research at Colorado State University. Additionally, he was "co-founder" of the International Association for New Science, The Institute for UFO Research, Hydrogen Now, and many more organizations.
The aim of the conference is to go beyond discussions of UFO evidence and government cover-ups, and discuss who is piloting these extraterrestrial craft. One half of the speakers have PhDs and have been university professors. Collectively they have had contact with, or researched, six different races of extraterrestrial intelligent civilizations who have influenced almost every aspect of human life, including science, wars, and religions.
Rainbow Eagle, an Okla-Choctaw American Indian began the conference with a presentation about prophecies from various indigeneous tribes throughout the world. He included a history of legends within these tribes about the extraterrestrial origin of human beings. He made it clear that the Mayan prophecies do not predict a cataclysmic end to the world in 2012, only a magnificent transformation during the end of one major cycle and the beginning of the next.
The conference is being held at the Doubletree Denver Tech Hotel through Sunday, Sept. 27.
