Well Apple finally fixed the date issues in the App Store yesterday evening, and sure enough, I missed several game releases over the past few days. But there's nothing we can do now but move on.

And there is plenty to move on with. Several retro-styled games made the release list yesterday as well as a number of castle defense-like games. The biggest name from yesterday was Battle for Wesnoth, an iPhone port of the popular PC role-playing game.

Aqua Forest 2 - morning dew ($4.99) - Tilt the iPhone to guide a drop of water through the photo-realistic levels, which include leaves, rocks, and flower petals.

Area 52 Escape ($.99 and free for lite version) - Think of this game as Half-Life lite, if in Half-Life you were a janitor instead of a scientist and the graphics were a flashback from the 1980s.

Battle for Wesnoth ($4.99) - This is a full port of the original strategy-RPG for the PC. Conquer villages to acquire wealth and find new recruits as you prepare your armies to attack the invading undead armies.

Bloody Fun Day ($.99) - Take on the role of the Grim Reaper in a board-styled game who needs to kill all of the adorable creatures surrounding him. Killing the red ones will keep him alive, and killing the others will charge his powers to help him reach the red ones.

Bounce-A-Ball! ($.99) - This is a platforming game with a bouncing ball.

Clay Hunt ($.99) - As it sounds, this game is about shooting clay pigeons.

Colorverse ($.99) - Move around the colored gems to create specific color sequences. If you make an incorrect sequence, that's one strike.

Crazy Turkey Blast ($.99) - Tilt the iPhone to line up the cross-hairs and then tap to shoot the running turkeys. As you play, you unlock prizes that you can use to customize your game or send to friends to help them customize their games.

Cubes, Love and Diamonds ($2.99) - The goal of this puzzle game is to roll the cubes to match the colors of the ground. The gameplay instructions are quite confusing and I have no idea what love has got to do with anything, but it could be one of those games where it makes sense as you play.

HexaLex ($.99) - Scrabble meets a honeycomb. Now you can form words in three directions instead of just two.

Honey Farm! ($.99 and free for lite version) - This is a line drawing, navigation game that follows in the same vein as all of the traffic and flight navigators and Shape Sifter. However, this game has far more adorable graphics.

i1942 ($1.99) - Take yourself back to playing a very retro World War II game with a very familiar Nintendo button-layout.

Johnny Test: Bot Dop ($.99) - Help Johnny Test drop bots from his plane into his sisters' car below. Not really sure if fans of Johnny Test will like or hate this game. The graphics are cute enough, but the gameplay doesn't seem very Johnny.

Loveground ($.99) - Help Cupid unite people by making them fall in love with his arrows.

Milk the Cow (free) - No explanation needed.

Ninja Road ($.99) - Fling shuriken at enemy ninja as they try to cross the bridge to attack your castle.

Orbital Defence ($1.99) - Man a cannon and let loose on the aliens trying to invade Earth. The game has some roots in Galaga and Space Invaders, but here, the cannon cannot move from side to side and the graphics are much better.

Puzzero ($1.99) - Slide around the number, plus, and minus tiles until the entire board mathematically equals zero.

Racing Hero 2 (free) - Take part in a Formula 1 race with brightly colored graphics that resemble a bit of Pole Position.

Racing Hero 3 ($1.99) - Not sure how it differs from Racing Hero 2 other than the price.

Rally Go (free) - Rally race against 16 other racers in this 2D game.

Rally Go 2 ($1.99) - It's Rally Go, but with three tracks.

Robo Ki ($.99) - Help Robo Ki, the giant yellow robot, survive as long as he can against the hordes of alien bots. The game features a virtual analog stick and action buttons, 3D graphics, and sic different weapons.

Rush Hour ($.99 and free for lite version) - It's a sliding puzzle like Blue Block or Wriggle, but with cars.

Santa's Night Shift ($.99) - Santa no longer personally brings presents through the chimney; he has a present cannon to blast the presents into the chimneys for him.

ShaoJump (free) - Never thought I'd see a platform game involving a submarine, but here it is, with retro graphics and a jumping submarine.

Tangram Fun ($.99) - Use the seven pieces to create a target object throughout 15 levels.

teh internets - When Memes Attack ($1.99) - Fly through the internets in your roflcopter to collect lolcats, feeding cheezburgers to trolls, and dodging pop-up windows. If you aren't that familiar with such memes like lolcats, it's probably best if you ignore this game for now.

Zombie Recess ($.99) - Help a small band of kids defend their playground from the onslaught of zombie children. The graphics are whimsical and cartoonish and very cute for a zombie game.
