The Jones Beach Fireworks Spectaculor is an annual event on July 4.
Since Long Island is completely surrounded by water, what better way to see the different firework displays than by boat. Many firms offer boat trips to view the fireworks, especially to see the renowned Jones Beach Fireworks Show. Here are a few to choose:
Out of Freeport, NY along the Nautical Mile, the Nautical Empress will be boarding travelers to see the Jones Beach Fireworks Show. The cruise, which lasts from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., includes champagne upon boarding, cocktail hour with passed hors' dourves, open bar (liquor is included in your ticket price), sit down dinner during the cruise, fully-uniformed and professional staff, captain and marine crew on board, beautiful 5 1/2 hour scenic cruise with Fourth of July Fireworks Show at Jones Beach, DJ and dancing with in-house entertainment company, and coffee, tea and desert.
Reservations are still available on the Nautical Empress located on Freeport's Famous Nautical Mile, Woodcleft Ave. Nautical Empress $149.99 per person + tax. All tickets are non refundable / non exchangeable. In the event of inclement weather, Nautical Cruise Lines is not responsible for any premature / delay or cancellation of the Jones Beach Fireworks Show. No refunds or exchanges will be permitted. The Moon Chaser has scheduled a special Fourth of July Jones Beach Fireworks Cruise from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m. The cruise includes free soda and water with a full cash bar available. Ticket price is $40 per person. The Moon Chaser is a 65 foot vessel with a completely enclosed main deck, with comfortable seating arrangements, fully equipped nautical bar for your pleasure and an upper canopied sun deck open to the soothing bay breezes. Please call 631-265-1848 for reservations.
A number of boats leaving from Captree State Park will be offering special Fourth of July sails. Every year, thousands of people beat the traffic and enjoy a relaxing night on the Great South Bay aboard one of their 20 boats.  Each boat is US Coast Guard-inspected and certified and carries anywhere from 40 to 175 passengers. The boats sail between 6:30-7:00 p.m. for a calm, slow scenic cruise to Jones Beach; after dark and anchored up, the night culminates with the Fireworks Spectacular and winds down with a slow cruise back to Captree State Park. If the fireworks show is cancelled, the boats from Captree will refund your ticket price.
