
The Suzi Bass Awards (http://suziawards.org/) is Atlanta’s answer to New York City’s Tony Awards (http://www.tonyawards.com/en_US/index.html) and Chicago’s Jeff Awards (http://www.jeffawards.org/home/index.cfm).
The ceremony is a celebration of the outstanding contributions professional theatre companies such as 7 Stages (www.7stages.org/), Horizon (www.horizontheatre.com), True Colors (http://truecolorstheatre.org/), Georgia Ensemble (www.get.org/), and many more have made in building Atlanta’s reputation as a viable and respectable destination for excellent theater productions.
The Suzi Awards will be held tonight, November 9, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the Conant Performing Arts Center (http://www.oglethorpe.edu/arts/theatre/conant_center.asp) on the campus of Oglethorpe University, 4484 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA 30319. Ticket prices are $30.00 in advance; $40.00 at the door, and includes the after-party.
