Located at 1812 Hamlin Street N.E., this Mardi Gras themed establishment pulls out all the bells and whistles to accommodate their guests. This small and intimate family owned restaurant and bar makes you feel like you are truly in the midst of the south and show that infamous Southern hospitality to prove it. Do not be fooled by the size. It is the perfect place for gatherings of any sort with room for a dj, live band, and dancing.
Go have a seat at the bar and the first thing you will get is the bartender greeting you with a authentic smile and "how you doing" and the second is a drink menu. The menu runs the gamut of traditional mixed drinks as well as related specialties. The Mojito is one of the best in the city, with a little more bite than the average concoction and the Hurricane is flavorful and creeps up on you slowly. For National Liqueur Month, they serve a martini called The Grand Bayou, which is a mixture of Grand Marnier, Absolut mandarin, Malibu coconut rum, pineapple and cranberry juices.
They also have happy hour specials which include: from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Bring 10 or more people and you the host, or your guest of honor drinks FREE! The rest of your guests drink from one of four packages(listed on their website, link below).
Stop by on Halloween from 8:30-midnight where they will have a dj and drink specials. Costumes are strongly encouraged.
