Homeschool means .... field trips galore!   As we plan our Ancient Egypt unit, I find I'm torn between revisiting mummy and Egypt exhibits at our favorite museums - or just revisiting the photos.

Seeing as how photos are nowhere near as interesting as the real thing, I think we'll probably head back to Boston sometime in the next few weeks to revisit the impressive Egyptian exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts.  This time, though, we'll spend time beforehand exploring hieroglyphics, mummification, myths, and pharoahs...  which should give us a little extra insight.

Probably won't hold a candle, though, to visiting New York's amazing Temple of Dendur at the Metropolitan Museum of art with our buddy Dan the Art Teacher!
