
Many events listed in the program catalog for the 11th Annual Fall for the Book Festival taking place this week will appeal to DC, Maryland and Virginia grandparents -- both future and present. For grandmothers trying to align their reality with the myths, stereotypes and preconceived notions they had about grandmothering, one offering stands out.
Barbara Graham, author of "Eye of My Heart: 27 Writers Reveal the Hidden Pleasures and Perils of Being a Grandmother" hosts a discussion this evening at Shirlington Library with contributor Kate Lehrer. Join them to talk about "the whole crazy, complicated truth about being a grandmother in today's world."
