Do you have too many errands to run? Do you feel like you don’t know what to do first? Whether you are a single mom, working mom or stay at home mom, we all need a break. It all starts with taking a 3 minute vacation.
A 3 minute vacation is where a mom takes 3 minutes to quiet her mind. It is important to quiet your mind to gain clarity and focus. This will lead to reduced stress because you won’t feel like you have to do everything at once. You will think more clearly and take care of important things first.
Mom is the last person to go to the doctor to see why her why arm hurts or why her eyeball is falling out (just joking), but we as moms are so busy taking care of everyone else that we don’t take care of ourselves. This is a big stressful responsibility. The stress can be reduced by taking a 3 minute vacation, developing healthy eating habits and getting your children’s homework under control.
To take a 3 minute vacation all you need is a timer, especially if the kids are around, and a quiet place away from everyone. Then, let everyone you need peace and quiet for 3 minutes without any interruptions and that the timer going off will signify stopping time. Make sure everyone knows what you mean; even a two year can understand to sit down or be quiet until the timer goes off. A helpful tip: leave the time where the kids can see it, but not touch it or tell them not to touch depending on your child’s age. You might want to have 2 timers on hand: 1 you leave where the kids can see it and one you have will you so everyone knows when time is up.
It is important to take a 3 minute vacation to quiet your mind. This will lead to reduced stress so that you will not feel overwhelmed and out of control all the time.
