Fridays Creek Winery is located in Owings, Maryland.  The winery sits on a small patch of land, complete with winery owned vineyards and a beautiful suburban location.  The winery offers a tasting room where visitors can sample all of the wines produced and speak with knowledgeable staff about wine suggestions and characteristics.

The tasting room building is located inside a converted barn.  The building offers local character and a comfortable atmosphere.  Tastings are free, and Fridays Creek wine glasses are available for purchase.

Friday's Creek wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Barbera, Old Vine Zinfandel, Friday Afternoon, Blush, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Cayuga White, Riesling, Patio White, Cerasa, Blackberry, and Plum.  The Estate Wines include a Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Rubilee, Chambourcin, and Coxtown Red.  The Friday Afternoon and Coxtown Red are both unoaked red wines.

The wines are good, high quality wines with complex taste profiles and an excellent finish.  In particular, the Coxtown Red and Patio White are smooth, sweet wines that are perfect for pairing with certain foods.  The Patio White would be an excellent complement to asparagus, salad, wild rice, or Moroccan tilapia.  The Coxtown Red would go beautifull with autumn ravioli, stuffed ham hoagies, or slow cooker pork.  Either wine would be a fantastic choice to pair with shrimp tomato sauce over pasta.
