Although it seems in character for the delightfully egotastic Kanye West to declare himself the heir to the Pop King throne, it seems the whole story may have been fabricated by otherwise unknown website scrape.tv. Yes, it is devastating to think that a gossip story may not be 100% authentic. Besides Fox News, what could be more reliable? BUT there's a serious lack of evidence that the statement ACTUALLY came from the verbose singer. Perhaps he has really taken to heart the lesson learned via his South Park beating: he is better listened to than heard.
So apologies if it isn't true, but maybe if Kanye wasn't so dedicated to being the most vain man alive, this wouldn't have been such a viable rumor. After all, even stories about Robert Pattinson's love life are greeted with more skepticism than this readily accepted legend of douchery. It didn't even seem worth debating or researching, although in retrospect, the lack of upper case should have outed it as fraud.
It's like the Onion if the Onion needed emoticons to let people know it's a joke. Pretty sad that Kanye has such a lame rep as a human that no one, including myself, questioned this.
