Poor Jessica Simpson. She might not be the brightest star in the sky, or the most talented, but she seems like a very sweet, genuine person. So it's sad when she's doing the whole Twitter break up thing. That sort of depressing, desperate style is usually reserved for the person on Facebook you don't know very well from high school who is constantly updating about being a born-again Christian and obsessing over a relationship that is obviously doomed to failure, since it's so public.
But Tony Romo, who will always make me desire ribs when I hear his name, has done the deed of dumping the blonde, who withstood a particularly ruthless media attack for her noticeable chubbing the past year. She attributed the weight gain to a lazy attitude inspired by a happy relationship, so maybe the only upside to this is she'll get back in shape.
Anyway, Jessica pulled a patented Mayer Move and decided to twitter her broken little heart out, coming up with some gems like "Everybody needs to know that hope floats ... grab the strings and pull it back to you." Aw. You'll be okay, Jessica.
Word is Romo wasn't nearly as devastated by the ceasefire, and has already been spotted out this weekend flirting with other women. Apparently, he found her and her creepy dad 'boring'. The best part is that while he's been over it for a while, he stuck around long enough ... to break up with her on her birthday. What an awesome guy. The good news for her is she no longer has to stand around at boring games and dodge food thrown at her by fans who blame her for his bad games.
