Just this week, production on the upcoming show Parenthood was halted as Maura Tierney was given time off for unspecific health reasons. Well, the issue has a face and it's a breast tumor which must be removed. Fortunately, the diagnosis has been described as 'very treatable' according to Tierney. The ER star remains cautiously optimistic according to her sister, but will not know the entire extent of her medical condition until the tumor is removed. Hopefully, it'll be benign.
