L.A Times

Australia is all a-tizzy after discovering that Britney Spears relies primarily on lip-syncing at her live concert. Fans walked out of the show in Perth and demanded refunds because they felt her dancing wasn't up to snuff.

Right now, you're like, "What?" Because being surprised or disappointed that Britney Spears doesn't sing live is like being the one person who doesn't know about the twist at the end of the Sixth Sense or hasn't heard Michael Jackson died. Also, have you ever tried dancing and singing at the same time? Not easy, even if you aren't trying to keep up with a series of choreographed moves.

The Australian promoter for the tour says the rumors of massive walkouts are 'the biggest lie i've ever heard'. That's because he lives in Australia and didn't have to watch any news conference involving the Bush administration.

John Mayer has, as usual, twittered on the matter, summing it up: "If you're shocked that Britney lip-synced at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you." Word.
