Blu Dot has created one of the best treasure hunts in the city that the design industry has ever seen. In celebration of the one year anniversary of their first showroom, Blu Dot has launched The Real Good Experiment. Almost everyone in New York City has ruffled through furniture and home finds on the curb. Many have found unwanted furnishings and decor that would fit perfect in their interior. "Curb mining" has become a sport in the Big Apple and Blu Dot has provided the ball.

From November 4-5th, Blu Dot has placed twenty five chairs around New York City for "curb miners" to find. Chairs are free for those who find them. Each chair will be tracked on their journey around the city. Once all the chairs have been found, Blu Dot will release a documentary (December).
