The race for holiday shopping begins in less than two days. This year's Black Friday is projected to bring over 134 million people into stores. Many will wait in line just before dawn to rack up on entertainment and electronic accessories. The home decor industry however does not have a prominent face during the annual, anticipated event. We have profile three big companies in efforts to create a home furnishing shopping guide for Black Friday.
Bloomingdale's- The Big Brown Bag Sale
Bloomingdale's is catering to its clientele with the Big Brown Bag sale. This sale will feature 20-70% off (select merchandise) items throughout their store. Bloomingdale's will be the store to shop for luxury bedding and decor. Many of their higher end bedding ensembles are on sale. Collections like Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, and Ralph Lauren will now be at a more reasonable price for the budget friendly.
Bloomingdale's is also offering special incentives for their furniture collections. Customers can now save 40% when they take an extra 15% off their entire collection of furniture. We are assuming you have to apply for a credit card (to receive the 15%), but an additional 40% is nice. The Natori collection is an industry favorite.
Macy's- Thanksgiving Sale
Macy's was unfortunately not as generous with discounts as Bloomingdale's. Customers can however expect great deals on small appliances and housewares. This is the perfect store for newly weds or people who are purchasing/renting their first (starter) home. Enhancing your kitchenware will definitely come in handy with the remainder of the holiday events.
JCPenney- Infamous Doorbusters
Ah JCPenney does not disappoint with their Black Friday sales. The amount of items on sale is endless as the department store powerhouse provides excellent deals in nearly all of their departments. Here are a few from their long list:
