Welcome back, sports fans. If you're just joining us, I've just caught the flu twice and am just now getting back to my feet. I no longer feel remorse for slacking off in anatomy class. I have learned more about my body and its limitations than I ever wanted to know.

So let's get things off on the left foot (yes, I'm that liberal) and peruse a small, concise, and aesthetically pleasing listing of local events coming up with occasional injections of wit and personality I'm sure you've all come to grudgingly tolerate.

• For those who have cocks, enjoy cocks, or are still in that "I swear this is research for a book I'm writing one day" phase, the Good Vibrations at Polk Street will be hosting Ask Our Docs: Cock Rings, where Dr. Charlie Glickman will be discussing cock rings, offering advice on their use and answering any questions you or the friend you dragged along to ask questions on your behalf my have. The sexinar (yeah, you like where I went with that?) will last from 5:30pm to 6:30pm on Tuesday, November 10th. Call 415-345-0400 for more information

• If cock rings don't do it for you but still want an excuse to go down to Good Vibes, the Valencia Street Store will have Carol Queen, the Good Vibrations staff sexologist, on hand to share her insight on fellatio and cunnilingus techniques for you and your partner. I'm tempted to make a joke about couples counseling, but I'm going to play it safe just in case my therapist finds this article. The event runs from 5:30 to 6:30 on Thursday, November 12th, and like the previous event, is free. The number for that is 415-522-5460.

• In keeping with the "Free Events" theme, the LGBT Center will be screening the documentary "The Butch Factor" on Thursday, November 12 from 7:30 to 8:30. You can RSVP for this event on Facebook, which I would highly advise not only because seating is limited, but because I have an inflated sense of my reliability as a writer and member of the Liberal Media Conspiracy, and feel it's my place to give my opinion on such issues.

• In college, I was a theatre major, and after two years of trying to find the homoerotic subtext and/or thinly veiled "coming out" motifs in every classical play I was forced to read, my professors were practically plugging the theater programs of other universities in their lectures. So I transferred to ASU and switched majors to ever-fruitier Performance Art. That's why when I stumbled across a listing for The Circle of Dionysos' The Bacchae: A Ritual of Coming Out, I nearly choked on my squee. The performance is at Mama Calizo's Voice Factory at 1519 Mission Street, begins at 8:00PM on Friday and Saturday November 13 & 14. There is a suggested donation of $20, but nobody is turned away for lack of funds. This style of charging admission is quickly becoming my favorite.

If you've ever wondered what my articles would sound like narrated, check out this podcast I did for Scarlet Betch, where I discuss video games, slashfic, and my distrust of people who want to mate with their pets.

Until next time, whatever happens over the rainbow, stays over the rainbow.
