My clients have been hungry, heck, I have too. Sure there are basic eating strategies that help with this like protein and fiber, but what about those weak moments that just happen regardless? Here are six tips to help.
Tip 1-Get out of the house
If you’re having a moment where you really just can’t take it, run! I don’t mean run as in exercise, I mean run from your home, run from food in general. Go somewhere. I suggest going window-shopping for the clothing you want to try to own, or go to a used fitness store and upgrade your equipment. Head to the gym just to sit in the sauna. JUST RUN! If we aren’t around it, we can’t eat it.
Tip 2-Go take a bath

Not only does it relax you and put you in a better mood (mood is one of the highest contributer to eating). It also gets you hot and warm all over, naturally suppressing appetite. In a cut I can take 2 to 3 baths/saunas a day.
Tip 3-10 minutes
Studies have shown the the actual physical cravings that occur last no longer than 10 minutes. If you can do something to distract yourself for those critical 10 minutes, you’re likely to get through it altogether. Also, water has been proven to help kill cravings and in most cases dehydration is the cause of the cravings you are having, not actual hunger.
Tip 4-Brush your teeth

It will make anything taste weird for a while until that toothpaste taste gets out of your mouth (and your dentist will thank you).
Tip 5-Teas, lots of hot teas
While they may not be food Herbal Teas can provide calmness, suppress appetites, and even provide a little pick me up.
Tip 6-The three greens
Celery, Lettuce, and Cucumbers. All low in calories, high in natural water, and when needing a crunch they can really help. Just don’t go too overboard. You can eat too many veggies for the tummy’s liking.
