Moms are in craze over their social networking sites that seem to provide not only support but a place to vent.  Is this mom's comments about smoothering her toddler appropriate to post online?  Was she reaching out for support or just being tongue and cheek about having a difficult toddler who won't listen?  Here is a post I came accross on blog.socialmedia.com:

Thordora LA mom was visited by the local police in what appeared to be a response to a Tweet she made that evening: @Thordora: “If I smother my 3 year old, who will NOT GO TO F***ING SLEEP, is it REALLY a crime?”. (FriendFeed coverage) At 11pm, Thordora reports that police came to her house to check on whether her children were safe. The cops left with no incident.

@Feelslikehome, whom @Thordora believes called the cops, denies the accusation, saying she only reported the incident to Twitter’s staff, along with information gathered from @Thordora’s Amazon account, meaning the police were contacted by someone else.

It’s really an amazing sign of the times that we now live in an age where you can be served legal documents on Facebook and gather probable cause for a crime on Twitter.
