If you asked where to get a “chien chaud” in Paris, you might get directed to the local kennel that doesn’t have air conditioning. A hot dog is hot dog, something that needs no translation in Japanese, French or Tagalog.
Celebrate National Hot Dog Month with yummy French Style hot dogs at the lovely Brasserie Jo where you can seize the summer and a dog for just $1.
Every day during the month of July, the Chicago restaurant will offer its version of the beloved weiner (served on a baguette with mustard) for only $1 from 5 - 7 pm in the bar area. Why not try one or two? The French, after all, had a way with fries.
The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council expects Americans to be downing the delicious dogs in record numbers this summer and it’s no wonder. It’s a cheap meal with a lot of snap, reminding us of carnivals, ball games and fairs of our youth.
