Rated “Most Exotic Restaurant in Chicago” by the Trib, Tizi Melloul marks ten years in Chicago with a revamped summer menu and CHEAP specials.
Take a trip through the Mediterranean via River North and take advantage of the brand new anniversary, prix fixe Crescent Menu served seven days a week. Sample Chef Jeff Brantley’s sultry five-course meal that includes a mezze of baba ghanouj hummus and sun-dried tomato olive tapenade served with flatbread; Tizi’s famous fire-roasted Prince Edward Island mussels; the delectable fruit fattoush salad with lemon-mint vinaigrette; entrees including the garlic roasted shrimp kabob, lamb tagine and roasted vegetable kabob; and for the finale, Tizi’s tasty semi-sweet chocolate fondue served with seasonal fruit, pound cake and house-made marshmallows. All that for $35 per person.
If that’s still too steep for you, take a look at the $3 - $6 tapas menu (Monday thru Thursday) featuring fresh ingredients from local markets. You might try herb goat cheese stuffed peppers and bacon wrapped dates. Stop by on Monday to sip $3 martinis. Tizi Melloul's Crescent Room and Main Dining areas feature half price bottles of wine with two entrees every Wednesday.
Sunday Tizi Melloul presents Belly Dance the Night Away when $25 gets you bottomless glasses of red or white wine, one round of three Chef's choice appetizers such as a Hummus Plate with Pine Nuts and Cracker Bread, Fire-Roasted Prince Edward Island Mussels or short rib flatbread with caramelized onions and goat cheese fondue. It’s just $20 for hospitality industry members. Watch live belly dancing performances on Sundays at 7 pm and 8 pm.
