As reported on the ECHL's transaction wire on Tuesday October 27th, goaltender Gerald Coleman was reassigned by the New Jersey Devils from their AHL affiliate in Lowell, MA to their ECHL affiliate the Trenton Devils.

In the 2008-2009 season, Gerald appeared in 40 games for the T-Devils and was statistically their best goalie. Coleman was originally a draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 7th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft at the 224th spot overall. He is also the first graduate of the NHL's Diversity Program to be drafted and play in the NHL when he made his debut on February 24, 2007.
