2012" Premiere shakes the ground at L.A. Live

Last night was the premiere of "2012" from Columbia Pictures. Starring John Cusack, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover and Woody Harrelson. Based upon the myth that the Mayan calendar implies that th end of the world will cease in the year 2012. Numerologists and astrologists predict that in that year, the earth will experience cataclysmic natural disasters that the Mayans have warn us about.

On the black carpet, Jason Biggs wasn't warned about the display of the Oldsmobile town car crashing through a wall. As his usual comedic self along with his wife Jenny Mollen, Biggs lays right next to the car as Mollen puts the faux bricks on top of him making him look like a prop for the display. 

For Woody Harrelson, he was like the fast moving typhoons that moved through the Philippines a few weeks ago.  Photographers know that as soon as Woody steps on the carpet, they have to be ready to just fire away since Harrelson is notorious for posing in one section then walking through the press line quicker than a blink of the eye.

Cusack was a little bit more slower has he posed and looked left and right. However as one photographer screamed at the top of his lungs, John put his finger to his mouth as to sign "Shhhh" Once he did that he started panning down the photographer line.

Thandie Newton looked lovely with her long flowing hair. With at least 60 photographers on the line, I was elated to see that I captured some shots of her staring straight into my camera.

George Hamilton came through as a surprise. Seeing him in person just seals the fact that he his a well dressed gentleman with his signature tan.

Camilla Belle made the photographers "ooh and ahhed" as she came down the carpet with a blue and white bedazzled short dress that had flares and ruffles from her waist down. She was strikingly beautiful. It's very rare that Hollywood red carpet photographers get celebs dressed in colorful fashion. One photog exclaimed,"Wow! Camilla in color. Why do celebs dress in nice colors and fashion in other cities but for some reason in Hollywood at events, it looks like they are going to a funeral?" 

Amanda Peet bucked the tread of dark colors in Hollywood with a nice cream colored flowing dress as did Candis Cayne. Cayne posed and played with the photographers much better than Peet as Candis flared her lavender hued dress.

"2012" opens nationwide on November 13.
