ST. HELENS — The St. Helens Police Department is preparing for the seventh annual Donut Day event, a fundraiser for the Columbia Pacific Food Bank.

Next month, the police department will exchange canned goods for Krispy Kreme donuts, but now they are seeking donations which will be used to purchase donuts and to pay incidental costs, i.e. renting the costume for the volunteer who will play Santa.

The event will be held at 150 S. 13th Street, on Dec. 19 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For those wishing to make a donation to the event or for more information, please contact Chief Steven K. Salle’ or Police Records Specialist Deb Wend at the St. Helens Police Department in person, by calling 503-397-3333 or by visiting the department’s web site.
