The President has his hands full with health care, Veterans Day, and the Fort Hood army base incident that left 13 people dead. A New York Times article claims the FBI and army knew that the shooter Dr. MALIK NIDAL HASAN was communicating with a radical Yemeni-American cleric named Anwar al-Awlaki before the shooting but decided not to act on the information.

In the morning, the President and the First Lady will travel to Killeen, Texas. The departure from the South Lawn and the arrival at Robert Gray Army Air Field in Killeen, Texas. The President and Michelle Obama will meet with families of the fallen and also with wounded soldiers and their families at III Corps Headquarters, Fort Hood.
The President will then address the Fort Hood community during a memorial service for the soldiers and civilians killed on November 5th.
The President and the First Lady will then meet with wounded soldiers at Darnall Army Medical Center.
