Do you have the beer blues because you have no tickets for the Great American Beer Festival? Maybe you haven’t heard? VISIT DENVER, The Convention and Visitor Bureau, is pouring out the welcome mat for you, offering 130 other beer-related events throughout the Mile High City, through September 27.Denver Beer Fest

Your beer taste buds can go wild because Denver Beer Fest includes beer-pairing dinners, meet the brewer nights, tappings of special new beers, beer tastings, and a variety of fun events at top restaurants, brew pubs, and nightclubs.

A full list of events with details can be found at www.DenverBeerFest.com, but in case you need something to whet your beer buds, here is a sampling of events:

If you’ve got the Oskar Blues, you’ll want to stop by The Corner Office restaurant and martini bar at The Curtis Hotel partners.
**Stop by all week for specials during Denver Beer Fest, but Tuesday, September 22, the Office is offering menu pairings include Dales Pale Ale custom paired tapas style dinner with 5 Oskar Blue beers: Dales Pale Ale, Gordon’s, Momma’s little yella pils, Old Chub, Ten Fidy. Event date: Tuesday, Sept. 22nd 6-8pm; cost is $40 for tapas and 5 Oskar Blues beers.Call to RSVP: 720-889-4727

250th Anniversary of Guinness at Katie Mullen’s Irish Pub and Restaurant
**Located on the 16th Street  Mall, Katie Mullen’s is a premier venue for both domestic and imported beer, and best news yet is that Denver Beer Fest coincides with the 250th anniversary of the beloved Irish stout, Guiness. To celebrate, Katie Mullen’s on the 16th Street Mall offers both Guinness and Guinness 250 (special anniversary beer) for only $2.50 for a 20 oz. Event dates - Sep 21 - Sep 25 Mon - Fri, 4 - 7 pm to coincide with our Happy Hour, with all beers discounted.

Boulder County Brews Cruise
**This popular $55 tour includes transportation, breakfast at Boulder Beer, lunch at Oskar Blues Homemade Liquids and Solids, a commemorative T-shirt and tasting glass, and 15 percent off merchandise at each stop. September 23.

Boulder Beer Keg Tapping at Rialto Café
**Rialto Café hosts the brewer from Boulder Beers as he taps Boulder Beer’s Mojo IPA, aged in a Stranahan’s Whiskey barrel. September 22.

Denver Microbrew Tour
**Take a two-hour, $20 guided walking tour in Downtown Denver’s historic LoDo district – an area packed with brewpubs, microbreweries, and tap houses. Learn about the history of beer and how it is made in the Mile High City. There will be plenty of samples offered, of course. September 25-26.

40th Annual Oktoberfest Denver
**Grab your stein, throw on your lederhosen and get ready for Denver's 40th annual Oktoberfest! The 2009 event marks the final celebration of the Oktoberfest Denver legacy, as this is the fine “fest.” One more weekend to go: September 25-27.

Denver Brewery Tours
**Enjoy a five-hour pub-crawl style tour to three Denver Breweries for $52.80, including beer, transportation, food (snacks in van and appetizers at one of the breweries), and play a version of “Cash Cab” with trivia questions about Denver and beer. September 18-26.

Prohibition-Style Beer at the Ship Tavern at the Brown Palace Hotel
**Ship Tavern at The Brown Palace Hotel opened in 1934 in celebration of prohibition’s repeal. For Denver Beer Fest, the tavern is offering “prohibition style beer” served in a teapot – the way the hotel used to disguise alcohol during the Prohibition Era. September 18-27.

Meet the Brewer Happy Hours at Duo
**One of the Highland’s hippest restaurants is hosting three all you can eat and drink “meet the brewer nights,” featuring the masterminds behind some of the most beloved Colorado breweries: Left Hand Brewery (September 22); and Great Divide Brewery (September 23).

For those that just want to chill with a cold brew and enjoy a great dinner, check out these special beer-inspired meals at two dozen of Denver’s top restaurants, including:

Watercourse Foods, Osteria Marco, Steuben’s, Vesta Dipping Grill, Appaloosa Grill, Tag Restaurant, Dixons Downtown Grill, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Panzano, Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery, Bistro Vendome, Simms Steakhouse, Sonoma’z Wine Bar and Grill, Parallel Seventeen, Paramount Café, Elway’s Downtown, Culinary School of the Rockies, The Brown Palace, Vine Street Pub, Chad’s Grill, Altitude Restaurant, City, ‘O City, Jax Fish House Denver and Garrity’s Sports Bar.
