One man walked into a coffee shop outside Tacoma, Washington at 8:00 am on Sunday morning, and shot four police officers. A witness inside the coffee shop said that the shooter may have been shot in the exchange of gunfire, and police are checking with local hospitals to see if a gunshot victim has requested medical treatment.

The four Lakewood police officers were in a coffee shop before their shift going over case files and paperwork, when a shooter came in and shot them. No one else inside the coffee shop was targeted, and authorities believe it was an ambush.

An initial $10,000 reward was increased to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of the shooter. The victims were three male police officers and one female, they were in uniform, and their patrol cars were outside the coffee shop. The police are currently following leads.

Lakewood, Washington is located 40 miles south of Seattle.

A mass shooting occurred in Salt Lake City, Utah in February of 2007 and five people were killed and four people injured at the Trolley Square mall. Sulejman Talovi? who was later identified as the shooter, walked into the mall and randomly shot people in the mall. An off duty police officer from Ogden was having dinner with his wife when he heard gunshots. With the help of local people, they were able to shoot the shooter and stop him.
