It's a far too familiar scenario: Beautiful, sweet kitty has a loving home; guardian loses said home because of the economy; kitty gets relinquished to an animal shelter.
That's just what happened to Dorothy, a 4-year-old, black and white cat with oh-so-soft fur.
Now Dorothy is hoping for a new person or family to love, where she can be the only cat in the household. Dorothy is a bit shy, but also sweet, playful, entertaining and--like many felines--Miss Independent!
Shelter volunteers believe Dorothy will blossom and become a lap cat once she feels secure in a permanent, loving home.
