Deal of the day: $5 Atlanta Braves kids tickets

If you are looking for a great way to spend some family time before school starts, then consider the short two-hour drive to Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia and take in a Braves game. And, to make it a real deal, this coming Sunday, August 2, 2009, is Ultimate Kids Night! Upper Box seats (which are normally $12) are available for all children 14 and under for $5 at www.braves.com/summer or at the Turner Field Ticket Office. The Braves will be slugging it out against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 8 p.m.
Here's what's included in the Ultimate Kids Night Activities:
- Participate in the pre-game parade around the field
- FREE admission to the Braves Museum
- Play the interactive games in Scouts Alley for FREE
- Braves alumni Brian Hunter and Marvin Freeman will sign autographs before the game
- Kids run the bases after the game

Check out www.braves.com/birthday for details on registering for a FREE ticket to a Braves game during your birthday month (everyone is eligible, even if your birthday falls in the off-season months)!Accommodations are plentiful in Atlanta, but my personal recommendation is the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. It’s convenient, close to lots of restaurants and attractions, and assures guests of a comfortable room every time. Amenities include covered parking, swimming pool, and fitness center.
