Own a piece of Highway 30-A

If you’ve traveled Florida’s panhandle, then you are probably familiar with the upscale locale of Highway 30-A. Luxurious communities such as WaterColor, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, and Seaside are synonymous with this area and lend credibility to up and coming properties along this route. Among them, Magnolia Private Residence Club emerges as a breath of fresh air, a South Walton Beach sanctuary if you will.
Magnolia Private Residence Club (Magnolia) is brand new and nestled quietly on Seacrest Beach with emerald waters and white sand beaches only steps away. Magnolia is a fractional ownership program where owners “buy in” for one eighth of a unit cost. That amount plus a monthly club fee (taxes, insurance, staff, utilities, maintenance, etc.) entitles you to residence at one of the panhandle’s most prestigious addresses with a fee simple deed and unlimited flexible usage throughout each calendar year – something you can’t get with a timeshare. Magnolia is small with only 17 units which equals no more than 136 owners, so no crowds to fight or worry about availability.

Magnolia residences are elegantly decorated, spacious three-bedroom, three-bath units complete with state-of-the-art appliances and granite countertops in the gourmet kitchens; furnished balconies; pampering bathrooms; and lots of extras. Expansive windows add dimension to the living room views, and speaking of the living room, there is a plasma television with surround sound and DVD displayed in a beautiful wooden cabinet.
Hiding throughout the unit you will find delights as my family did. For instance, a jetted soaking tub turns the master bath into a haven of serenity. And, one of the guest bedrooms houses a Wii gaming system…a hit with children young and old! And one of the best features yet: a walk through the kitchen reveals that our pre-arrival grocery order was filled and our favorite snacks await us. Yea…no trip to the grocery store!
Amenities
Magnolia may be small, but it offers an outstanding lineup of amenities including a fitness center, daily housekeeping services, and concierge services. Our favorite hangout quickly became the rooftop deck with an outdoor grilling area, heated pool, and jetted spa. It is also the location of the owner’s lounge (where we enjoyed coffee and juice each morning with the daily paper) and the children’s activity center (they have a PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii).
The pool is heated for year round enjoyment, and displays an attractive waterfall for increased tranquility. What a thrill to swim underneath the stars on a rooftop with the soothing waterfall sounds close by!
The fitness center is fully-functioning with state-of-the-art equipment, but it goes beyond expectations offering choices on XM Radio, flat screen TVs, and both a sauna and steam room. You’ll enjoy working out in this environment.
Gulf Coast fun
Magnolia’s ideal location on Highway 30-A brings with it miles and miles of hiking and biking paths, long stretches of unspoiled beaches, world-class restaurants, and shopping. They offer a private boardwalk to access the beach, and a simple phone call alerts the concierge service to go ahead of you and set up beach chairs, umbrellas, and have your favorite drinks chilled and waiting.
Highway 30-A is well-known as an upscale area where families can enjoy less hustle and bustle, and more quality family time. As a small, 17-unit property, Magnolia shares in that ambiance with personal attention to all of their owner’s needs and requests, something larger properties struggle to attain.
What we liked
My family (or at least part of them) started their day with a trip to the fitness center, and eventually caught up with those of us who started the day in the lounge with juice and coffee. Various desires sent some off on a tandem bicycle ride while others strolled across the boardwalk to the beach. Our chairs were already resting in the sugar-white sand bidding us welcome!
The beach is home to many scampering egrets and offers a quietness we aren’t quite accustomed to finding on Florida’s panhandle. Life is good on Seacrest Beach.
Dinner reservations (made by our lovely concierge service) took us to a local favorite, The Old Florida Fish House, and afterwards, back inside, a Wii tournament broke out among the boys, while the girls opted for a movie. The living room offered enough cozy, inviting sofa space for everyone to spread out, relax, and eventually fall asleep while watching a chick flick...the perfect ending to a perfect day.
If you are searching for ownership on beautiful Highway 30-A, look no further. Buying into a fractional ownership property allows you the best of both worlds: beachside living without breaking the bank.
