Haleakala Volcano On Maui

Haleakala - House By The Rising Sun - is the earth's largest dormant volcano and extends just over 10,000 feet above the clouds of Maui.  If you're visiting Maui, this is an experience you don't want to miss!

Haleakala is a geological dream for such a wide variety of species of plants, bushes, rocks and the land itself.  Make sure you see the Photo Slideshow Below for a full photographic look at one of the marvels on this planet!

Haleakala Facts:  It costs $10 per vehicle to enter Haleakala National Park.  Take water and plenty of clothes, as the temperature can be 20 degrees to 30 degrees cooler than the temperature at sea level. Please respect the aina (land) while at the peak or along the way up to the peak.  There are plenty of places to turn-off and take pictures, so be careful and respectful of other motorists.  Call (866) 944-5025 for a current weather report.
