Kalama Beach Park in Kihei 

Situated in the heart of Kihei on the southwest side of Maui, Kalama Beach Park is a huge, well-landscaped park with a lot of space for streatching-out and relaxing.  It has a skateboard park and numerous picnic areas, along with excellent restroom facilities and a small, sandy beach to the left as you face the ocean.

How do you find it?  Just look for the giant replica of a Humpback Whale along South Kihei Road!

Yes, Kalama Beach Park is distinguised by the large replica of a Humpback Whale and is oceanside from The Kihei Caffe ( bit.ly/Dc9Ih  ) and the Life's A Beach bar and grill.  It's at the intersection of South Kihei Road and Auhana Road. It is easy to find!

There are nice shopping areas across the street from Kalama Beach Park, along with numerous restaurants, bars, a grocery store, and gift shops. Kalama Beach Park would be a nice place to spend a day or a half-day with a picnic, some beach-time, and some surfing.  If you're a beginner -- this is a good place to surf!  Enjoy Kalama Beach Park!
