Springfield-Greene County Park Board

The 15th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk will have some fresh, new twists and turns Thanksgiving day.

Drawing more than 5,000 runners/walkers last year, participants will begin to the east of the Springfield Expo Center on St. Louis Street. The 5K Run/Walk will finish on the north side of the Expo Center on East Trafficway

Register online at or go to www.parkboard.org. The Thanksgiving day Turkey Trot begins at 8. a.m. The new course route is also online.

Registrations before November 20 (or postmarked 11/18/09) are $20. Postmarked/received registrations after November 20 are $25.

Awards will be given to the top three men and women of each age division. Runners donated 5,475 pounds of food in 2008. Again this year, runners are asked to bring three canned food items for Ozarks Food Harvest.
