The Motorola Droid is the bee's knees when it comes to smartphones. Not since the Palm Pre was announced (and shortly after seemed to fizzle away) has a smartphone been met with such great anticipation. Early buzz was that it would finally provide a stiff competition for That Other Phone, but we won't mention that here.
What we will talk about is how the Droid stacks up against RIM's latest offering for Verizon Wireless, the Storm2. Putting the two against each other is much more valid then against That Other Phone because the two are on the same network, and therefore it's more accurate to judge different things about the two of them. Also, stacking up the Droid against the Storm2 is the only way to compare Motorola's first Android device to a BlackBerry; both phones are touchscreen.
Take a look at the short video below from Salomondrin and judge for yourself which device fares better. As the BlackBerry Examiner, I will always choose to be loyal to RIM no matter what the situation. However, I must honestly say that if you want a smartphone that's a touchscreen and also happen to have Verizon, the Droid is most likely the phone to get. A majority of you all seem to agree, as can be seen from the results of this poll.
