From all around the world people came to the DC Mall to watch the Inauguration of Barack Obama as the Nations 44th President. Then about half of those people went to Ben's Chili Bowl on U Street to eat.

The restaurant, which had hosted Barack Obama just a few days prior is a DC Landmark. Founded in 1958, the restaurant was one of few businesses to survive the 1968 riots which followed the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

Despite the events of the day I was assured by one of the staff members, Maurice, that this was a pretty typical day for the eatery.
