Use the "Thanksgiving Day" poem by Lydia Marie Child.  This poem (which can be found on line)  is filled with words that will inspire children to move and  act out the season.   Have the children pretend to be and move the following:  horses can gallop:  the sleigh can tilt and rock;  the snow can drift; the wind can blow; the bells can ring; the gate can swing, the pudding can jiggle; etc.  This is a great way to introduce kinesthetic learning.   Refer to the article "More inside kids' fitness with snow activities . . . the more the merrier."  Number 4 called the "horse drawn sleigh activity" is perfect to use with this poem.
