Creative guided movement  sessions/activities are so important today in children's lives.  It gives them a  foundation for movement skills that were formally gained from the "spontaneous play of yesterday."   As parents and teachers have become more safety conscious, the activities of fence rail walking, tire swings, etc. have gradually disappeared.   These activities can be replaced by guided creative movement sessions where children will learn essential motor skills and become more confident and improve movement efficiency.

A fun activity to help children gain some of these basic skills can be found in the article: Improve Children's Balance and Coordination with These Star Inspired Activities.
