The astrological New Year kind of ground in haltingly at the spring equinox and with then grew a little ominous with signs of shifting and unpredictable power situations highlighted at the new moon in Aries.
As April begins and spring steadily advances, there are reasons to brighten up. Yet generalized anxiety abounds. The home page of the New York Times website, for example, began the day with a pervasively anxious tone that was reflected story to story. China’s heavy investment in technology for producing electric cars, for instance, wasn’t presented as a good thing for the planet but as a threat to Detroit. In another story, the paper fretted that depressed and anxious people are taking to hanging out in libraries nationwide, working on their resumes and doing job searches online.
Not to downplay the desperation felt by some job-seekers, but at least those using the libraries are doing their best to take positive action. Anxiety is surely understandable, but it would be too bad if people focused so much on their worries that they missed the excitement inherent in these times. Yes, we are going through a time of major changes. Absolutely, we are. But as old ways are passing away, new ones will arise. It’s April now, and the focus naturally shifts ahead to what we can bring forth into life in the warmth of the year. Let's take a look at what the planets say.
