You have a special role in the cosmic pattern this month, Pisces. Just like Virgo, the sign opposite you on the wheel of the zodiac, you’ll be occupied in February with issues for which you have a natural affinity. Being a Pisces, you have a certain elasticity of being. You swim from the shallows to the depths. You are comfortable being seen as a special multi-faceted individual, and you are just as comfortable being seen as an Everyman or Everywoman, swimming along with all the others in the school of life.

Your idealism, your empathy and your interest in understanding others and seeking common ground will all be heightened this month. You’ll gain insights that you can use to rally support for your favorite causes. You may even help humanity articulate and develop more mutually beneficial and compassionate ways of living with one another on our fragile planet. Who knows? Little people can do great things.

Artistry, creativity, imagination and spirituality are all favored under this influence. You’ll want to dig into the mysteries of life, and if your work is too mundane or your daily routines too stale, you might end up daydreaming when you need to be paying attention to something practical. If so, this would be a good time to change your routines and add a little spice to your day-to-day life so your mind has new experiences to work into the imaginative process. At the same time, a bit of change helps you keep sight of what you’re doing so you don’t space out and drive five miles past your destination.

The planets are in an unusual pattern this month, parading through your neighboring sign Aquarius en masse. In a solar chart for Pisces, placing Pisces in the first house of self, all that Aquarian action falls into the twelfth house, a house that can be interpreted many ways but can perhaps be understood as being about the essence of a drop going into the ocean and the essence of an ocean being present in a drop. In the chart of the natural year, Pisces is the twelfth sign and rules that twelfth house. So in a sense, all this Aquarian activity that defines the month and to a lesser extent the year is happening, from your Pisces perspective, in an area of life with which you are deeply familiar.

Early in the morning Feb. 9, the sun in Aquarius shines under just the right conditions to cause the Earth’s shadow to fall on the face of the full moon in Leo. This penumbral lunar eclipse and the days around it link your dreamy side with your practicality and may give you some exciting “Aha!” moments. Keep a notepad handy to jot these down.

You are gaining a new sense of your importance in your community, and love signs look nice for you this month, both in terms of enjoyable friendships and for romance.
