This month is a test, Scorpio, and the way to pass with flying colors is by finding and being true to the very you of you. You’ll be challenged, seemingly out of the blue, in all sorts of ways – what you do, what you say, who you’re with and how you live. In this situation, any challenge is likely to feel very personal, even if the person questioning you really didn’t mean it that way or is someone who is essentially on your side and after the same things you are.

The rough side of this coin is the anger and frustration these experiences may provoke, and you may need to reach deeply into your reservoir of self-control to keep your cool. The beneficial side, according to your February horoscope, is that you really do need to get clear about your own inner needs and choices in order to move forward in your life. All the pokes and prods you’ll endure this month will help you find a way to do that. This is your time to be “Bringing it All Back Home” as Bob Dylan did in a long-ago album by that name, full of songs about the challenge of being himself in the wider world.

Granted, Dylan is an acquired taste that you may or may not enjoy, and the songs date all the way back to 1965. But a lot of his classics are on that album, and giving them a listen on YouTube might help you get in the mood for getting in touch with your inner truths, being willing to stand steadfastly for them and freeing yourself from other people’s expectations that don’t ring true for you. You might decide you ain’t going to work on Maggie’s farm no more or that it’s all over now, baby blue. Or you might decide your current situation can indeed help you get where you want to go and is where you want to be and you’re going to stand firm in it. Either one is fine, as long as it’s true to you.

This month there is an unusually high number of planets moving through a single sign – Aquarius – and each of them will square your sun, creating these challenges, which begin at home and relate to your feelings of safety and comfort. If you need to make changes to feel more secure and comfortable, do so. You’re worth it.

Early in the morning Feb. 9, the sun in Aquarius shines under just the right conditions to cause the Earth’s shadow to fall on the face of the full moon in Leo. This penumbral lunar eclipse and the days around it provide a link between your home and work situations. This would be a good time to review your career goals and set priorities in terms of making your home life and career goals mutually supportive.

You are gaining a new sense of brotherhood and sisterhood with others, but are likely to be thinking this month about whether your relationships are mutually beneficial or too one-sided. In love, as in these other areas, get in touch with your own true values.
