This is no ordinary month for you, Leo. It’s a blockbuster that could go really well and really badly at the very same time. Be careful because your February horoscope says the block you bust could be your own!

On the one hand, you’ll be stimulated to competitive action and will reap the rewards of giving it your enthusiastic best. On the other hand, you won’t need to go looking for a fight this month; the fights are going to be looking for you. And if you get drawn into conflict rather than competition, chances are you’ll be the one taking the fall, especially if you’re up against someone in authority.

So, what’s a Leo to do to earn the rewards of competition while avoiding conflict? Engage your inner critic and think before you take action. Don’t speak impulsively. Remember that the problem won’t be in the clarity of the communication. You and whomever you risk getting in conflict with will both be getting each other’s messages loud and clear, but the messages themselves may be enough to break any connection you once had. So choose your battles wisely.

The five-star stellium transiting Aquarius this month puts planet after planet in opposition to your natal sun in Leo. It’s great to have Jupiter in that spot, pushing you on to greater things. But to have so much there at once – including the transiting sun, deceptively dreamy Neptune, willful Mars and even communicative Mercury in the second half of the month – means there’s a lot of energy coming at you from a position opposing yours. This could manifest in a variety of ways. Take extra care while driving and as a pedestrian while crossing busy streets. Be cautious in relationships as well, as this is fairly likely to play out for you one-on-one but not entirely privately. Enjoy a sociable month but remember that sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

Early in the morning Feb. 9, the sun in Aquarius shines under just the right conditions to cause the Earth’s shadow to fall on the face of the full moon in Leo. This penumbral lunar eclipse and the days around it give you a chance to consider your own personality in terms of autonomy and interdependence. You’ll have a chance to shift your self-image to a new point along that sliding scale.
 
You are gaining a new sense of the importance of your role in service to others, and despite the risk of conflicts, you’ll enjoy affectionate and romantic give-and-take as the month rolls along.
