Happy New Year, Sagittarius!  

As the heavens hand out the hats this year, they’re handing you the thinking cap. They’d like you to focus on the details … the day-to-day interactions and communications, the little things that make up life. Some like to say the devil is in the details, while others say it’s the little things that matter; it’s the thought that counts.

You are often focused on the big picture, making the most of big ideas, playing a big role in groups and gatherings. You might even be peeking around right now at the heavenly hat rack, trying to see if there isn’t a party hat or an elegantly feathered fancy-dress hat you could trade up into. Still, there is a side of you that enjoys puttering with details in a way that ranges from creative to just this side of mad scientist. You might find inventive ways that “business as usual” could be improved.

That’s your cosmic mission this year, should you choose to accept it. You’re likely to make the most of it and to find great joy in simple pleasures and familiar people. Relationships with those closest to you will deepen. You could make new friends you feel you’ve known all your life; you could discover or rediscover romance.

Heavier issues you’ve been working to resolve, particularly relating to demands at work or constriction of your career – which may also have created challenges in your home life – are now at or near the stage of being settled one way or another. If your status isn’t clear now, it will be by the last months of the year. Hard work and attention to detail are likely to pay off.

But if instead certain career opportunities end or are closed off, bear in mind that it’s at least partly down to arriving at a point in the career cycle where it’s time for this to happen, and time for you to move on.
