Happy New Year, Leo!  

You can go ahead and start smiling now. The cool-cat grin that lights up your face or the Cheshire cat smile that lingers after you leave – either one will do.

Yes, you’ve got your work cut out for you in 2009, but you’ve got cosmic charms working in your favor. Now, here’s the thing: the extent of your success in Karmic Life Theater this year will be directly proportional to how well you are able to be all about “we, ours and us” as opposed to “I, mine and me.”

Difficult situations of love and money, which have become issues in the last year or so, will shift and resolve as your focus shifts to creating partnerships of all sorts that are animated by sparks of originality and sustained by dreams. If you’re in love, it’s a good year for marrying and embarking on a future together. (September would be a fine time to propose or get married.) If you’re married, it’s a good year to be married. If you’re single, it’s a good year to fall in love.

As far as the work required of you, you’ll need to rein in that personal pride and focus on the wider “pride” or tribe. Stay disciplined in matters of love and money. Don’t give way to extravagance. Lead from alongside others. Pass the lead back and forth. There will be uncomfortable shocks related to inherited situations, but they’ll be manageable.

A caveat, especially for Lions born mid-August or later in Leo, is this: take care not to be drawn into deceptive partnerships. And all Leos, but especially those born early in the sign, in late July or early August, should be alert to sudden health issues and have them seen to as quickly as possible.
