Does the house heat up during the day when no one is home to adjust the thermostat or turn on the air conditioning? Are these economic times making it too difficult to leave the air conditioning on all day long?

If we humans are feeling uncomfortable by the rising temperatures and high humidity, then, with all that fur and hair, one can only assume that our dogs are feeling uncomfortable as well.

Well, MiraCool has come up with a dog mat that is made up of water activated cooling crystals that become activated upon contact. The crystals can ‘keep the mat cool for days with one 30-minute cold water soak’. The mat retails for just over $10 – a great investment for a little peace of mind.

It seems logical that dog’s that are prone to destroying things and chewing things up should be monitored on these mats so that they do not tear them open and ingest the cooling crystals.
