With the summer season at our front door, run-ins with wildlife, particularly skunks, are possible. No dog wants to be banished to the garage, or left outside for the night. No dog owner wants a skunked dog in the house either.

No worries. This skunk scent removal recipe is a great replacement to the old wives tale of ‘tomato juice’ baths.

1 Quart Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 Cup Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Liquid Hand Soap

Thoroughly bathe pet, working solution well into fur and paws, using caution around the eye areas.

Solution can also be used on humans and automobile bumpers. Unused solution should be disgarded, as mixture may explode if stored in sealed container.
