Stephen the 'King' of horror and mysteries is back with his latest novel "Under the Dome." This new addition to his collection of best-sellers is sure to be a hit, providing readers with a Lost-like scenario, in which the citizens of a small Maine town, Chester's Mill, are surrounded by an invisible force field, prohibiting them from leaving.
Trapped in this bubble, the citizens attempt to unite, with Dale Barbara leading the way. Conflict ensues as Dale, an Iraq War veteran, teams up with local politician and all-around domineering figure, Jim Rennie, newspaper woman Julia Shumway, and 13-year-old genius Joseph McClatchey. This motley crew mixes with a hoard of other characters (over 100 altogether), to figure out this mysterious dome, and escape back to their reality.
After appearing on Good Morning America this morning, King will be taking part in the TimesTalks tonight, discussing Under the Dome. In his author video on Amazon.com, King talks about the long process of writing Dome, a novel he began working on in 1976. After years of trying to get the story right, King finally did, and fans will devour his latest masterpiece.
