Credo Action is the activist arm of Credo Mobile, a unique phone company that supports progressive causes.  A portion of every member's bill is donated to causes that members vote for each year, and members have the opportunity to join in Credo's campaigns advocating for a cleaner, healthier, more peaceful world.

Today, Credo Action is working to stop the confirmation of a pro-pesticide lobbyist to the position of chief agricultural negotiator in the Office of the United States Trade Representative.  (From the United States Trade Representative website, "The principal function of the Chief Agricultural Negotiator is to conduct trade negotiations and enforce trade agreements relating to United States agricultural interests and products.")  Here is what Credo says about the nominee:

"President Obama just nominated Islam Siddiqui, a top official from CropLife -- the pesticide industry's powerful trade group -- as America's chief agricultural negotiator for international trade. If confirmed by the Senate, Siddiqui, who has spent the last several years of his career fighting various restrictions and bans on environmentally hazardous pesticides, would bring that inappropriately aggressive stance on broadening pesticide use to the White House and influence trade negotiations with Europe and the developing world. "

What can you do about this?  Sign Creedo Mobile's petition to ask President Obama to drop the nomination of Islam Siddiqui as chief agricultural negotiator in the Office of the United States Trade Representative
