Mammoth Motocross has roared back to town.

Last weekend kicked off bike season in Mammoth with both motorized and non-motorized bikers flocking to town. June 18 was the start of the annual Ford Mammoth Motocross and June 20 was the opening of Mammoth Mountain's Bike Park.

The Motocross started in 1968 and has been attracting both old and young, as well as professional and amateur riders throughout the years. This year's event runs through this Sunday, June 28, so check out the longest continuously running motocross in the USA before it's too late!

If you'd rather pedal a bike than drive one, check out the Bike Park at MMSA instead. Right now the price to ride is $29 a day rather than the usual $39 per day due to a limited number of trails being open because of the deep snowpack that still remains. This deal lasts through July 3.

Mammoth Mountain's Bike Park is now open.

Trails will continue to open as the snow melts, but as of this time the following trails are available:

Uptown, Downtown, Paper Route, Big Ring, Timber Ridge, Juniper, Lakes Trail, Shotgun, Lower Bullet, and Lower Follow Me.
